How to set up an in-house AI creative workflow.

By Manas Gaikwad, AITEIT ·

Short answerStart with one product line and one format. Write down your brand and product rules, build templates for briefs and prompts, add a human review step, then train the team and expand. Most problems come from skipping the rules and review steps, not from the AI tools.

1. Pick one product line and one format

Do not try to automate everything at once. Pick the format you need most, for example product stills for your store or 9:16 ads, and one product line to start.

2. Write down product truth

For each product: names, variants, packshots, product facts, approved claims, banned claims and visual rules. AI output is only as accurate as what you feed it.

3. Build templates

Turn your best briefs and prompts into templates with blanks for product, audience and channel. This is what lets a new person get good results on day one.

4. Add a review step

A person checks every asset for product accuracy, claims, text and brand fit before it goes live. Track what gets rejected and update the templates.

5. Train the team and expand

Run a few live sessions, write short docs and then add the next format or product line.

Questions

How many people do we need?

One owner who maintains the templates and rules, plus whoever makes content today. You do not need engineers.
